Saudie's Restaurant Reviews

This is my favorite Haitian restaurant in Orlando. I'm from South Florida so I'm familiar with good Haitian Cuisine. The food is cooked with love. I brought an American friend here to taste Haitian food for the first time and he finished his plate. And they play movies in their cafe so if I go alone, I'm entertained. Only thing that upsets me is they were closed on Saturday. (Call and double check to see if that's still true)

I found Saudie's on a list of oldest Orlando establishments, so I was surprised to find that it didn't have a Yelp page. Happy to be the first to review it because it was one of the best I've had in Orlando. If you rented a car during your Disney stay, don't waste your money on The Mouse House's overpriced and inauthentic food. We got the fried goat and fried turkey and both were delicious. It came with a sauce that added a lot of flavor and juiciness. Both meats were tender and flavorful. You will get some excellent Caribbean staples as sides with your food including rice and beans and fried plantains. Portions are huge. We ate until we were stuffed and had enough left for lunch tomorrow. I didn't get a touristy vibe from the clientele--it seemed to be mostly locals, which is a great sign. The two people who ordered after us both ordered in Haitian, so, not being an authority myself on Haitian food, I can only presume the stuff is on point if it attracts the local Haitian community as customers. I definitely recommend you make your way here for a much better experience than anything you could get at the resorts a few minutes south.

Extremely tasty Haitian Caribbean food that is well seasoned and prepared. The appearance of the restaurant is not superior at all however the food is soo darn tasty. I purchased the fried fish and rice . The rice also arrived with freshly made plantains. One thing I can say is each thing (rice, plantains, and fish) was freshly made. I have been to OTHER restaurants in which the rice was obviously yesterday's rice and the plantains were hard signifying it was previously made and not freshly fried. I will definitely return back for this yummy deliciousness.
